Bhopal: Congress MLA raised the issue of increasing threat from stray dogs in Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal in the Assembly. During the discussion on this, a heated argument was also seen between Congress and BJP MLAs. Congress MLA Atif Akil alleged that despite spending crores of rupees, the number of dogs is not decreasing. He alleged irregularities in this.

regarding this Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya objected. He said, “According to the report of the Health Department, no one has died due to dog bite in the last one year.” On the other hand, Congress also cornered the government regarding the incident in Bhagirathpura of Indore.

Responding to attention Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya Said that, “I have to deal with all the dogs. Stray dogs have been living among us for centuries as a community animal. Due to changing weather, malnutrition and other diseases, sometimes dogs are becoming aggressive. Animal Birth Control Rule has been implemented to control the number of dogs. The number of sterilization centers is also being increased.”

He said, “The government is also getting the dogs anti-rabies vaccination done. For this, the urban administration, animal husbandry and panchayat and health departments are working together. The Additional Chief Secretary of the department has held a review meeting on this issue.”

Congress said why not discuss contaminated water?

Before this, Congress protested in the Assembly premises regarding the death of 35 people due to contaminated water in Bhagirathpura, Indore. Congress MLAs arrived with bottles filled with dirty water.

Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar Alleged that “such a large number of people died in Bhagirathpura, Indore, but the minister of the department has not resigned yet. Stray dogs are more important than this issue in the House. The state government found the issue of stray dogs more important. The government seems to be avoiding moral responsibility.
