Jaipur . A press conference was organized by Revenue Minister Hemant Meena in the District Collectorate Auditorium regarding the State Budget 2026-27. Giving information about the gifts given to the state and the district in the state budget, Minister Hemant Meena said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is determined to make Rajasthan a developed state.
He said that Budget 2026-27 will ensure overall and sustainable development of Rajasthan and will take forward Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Developed India 2047. He said that this budget is a document of our duties towards the 8 crore people of the state. Budget 2026-27 is dedicated to the welfare of all sections including women, youth, labourers, deprived, farmers. Provisions have been made in the budget for strengthening of infrastructure, facilities and services in basic sectors like electricity, water, education, medical etc. Due to which Rajasthan will become developed, prosperous and self-reliant. He said that the size of the budget for the year 2026-27 is Rs 6 lakh 10 thousand 956 crore, which is 41 percent more than the budget for the year 2023-24. Budget 2026-27 is based on the strong pillars of expansion of infrastructure, enhancing quality of life through civic amenities, promotion of industrial growth and investment, empowerment of human resources, strong social security system, tourism, art and cultural heritage, good governance and digital transformation, agricultural development and farmers’ welfare, animal husbandry and dairy, green growth and environmental sustainability and creating a $4.3 trillion economy by 2047. According to the budget, the state gross domestic product (GSDP) is likely to be Rs 21 lakh 52 thousand 100 crore, which is about 41 percent more than 2023-24. With this, the per capita income is likely to exceed Rs 2 lakh 2 thousand for the first time, which is 21.15 percent more than 2023-24. In this budget, a provision of capital expenditure of Rs 53 thousand 978 crore has been made for infrastructure development, which is more than 2 times that of 2023-24.
