Raipur : Forest and Climate Change Minister of Chhattisgarh Government Kedar Kashyap and Revenue and Higher Education Minister Tankaram Verma participated in the historic Mata Mavali fair organized in Narayanpur. On this occasion, he worshiped Mata Mavli and extended best wishes to the people of the state, especially the people of the district.
Addressing the program, Minister Kashyap said that with the blessings of Mavli Mata, the rich folk culture and traditions of Bastar should always remain intact. He said that this fair of Narayanpur is a vibrant confluence of social harmony, folk art and tradition, where people come from far and wide and come face to face with the culture of Bastar. He urged everyone to participate in the fair and enjoy the cultural programs.
The minister duo visited various shops and departmental stalls in the fair and also purchased local products and puja materials. He said that such events also strengthen the local economy.
On this occasion, Bhoomi Pujan of works worth Rs 1 crore 76 lakh 59 thousand and works worth Rs 59 lakh 51 thousand were inaugurated. As per the announcement of the Chief Minister, Bhoomi Pujan was done for the construction of 10 primary school buildings, the sanctioned amount of which is Rs 1 crore 41 lakh 60 thousand. Apart from this, Rs 34 lakh 99 thousand were sanctioned for the construction of two market sheds each in village Kutul and Jatalur of District Panchayat Orchha.
Under District Panchayat Narayanpur, food grain buildings built at a cost of Rs 59 lakh 51 thousand were inaugurated in Bagdongri, Palki and Mahimagawadi. Besides, warehouses of 100-100 metric ton capacity were also inaugurated in Nelwad and Khodgaon.
Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Association President Rupsai Salam, District Panchayat President Narayan Markam, Municipal President Indraprasad Baghel, Collector Namrata Jain, Superintendent of Police, public representatives, administrative officers and a large number of citizens were present in the program.
