Bhopal. There are full indications that the budget session of Madhya Pradesh Assembly, starting from February 16, will be a stormy one. Congress has made it clear that it will surround the three ministers of the government, including Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and Tribal Affairs Minister Vijay Shah in the House and boycott them. The party says that these ministers will neither be allowed to speak nor will they be heard.

On which issues will there be uproar in the Assembly?

Congress has decided to highlight the issue of death of children in Chhindwara, Betul and Pandhurna allegedly due to consumption of poisonous cough syrup “Coldrif”.

Apart from this, the issue of death of 35 people due to contaminated water in Bhagirathpura, Indore will also resonate in the House.

The Congress party will also put the government in the dock over the remarks made about army officer Colonel Sophia Qureshi.

There is a possibility of huge uproar during the session regarding these issues.

What allegation did Jitu Patwari make?

State Congress President Jitu Patwari has alleged that no concrete action was taken against Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, who is looking after the health department in the case of death of children. He says that even in the Bhagirathpura incident, Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya is avoiding responsibility. At the same time, the government has been accused of patronizing Tribal Affairs Minister Vijay Shah in the matter of his remarks on Colonel Sophia Qureshi.

Congress called legislative party meeting on 16th

Congress has called the legislature party meeting on 16 February in Bhopal. In this meeting to be chaired by Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar, the strategy to corner the government during the budget session will be decided. Congress is preparing to aggressively raise the law and order situation, increasing debt in the state, atrocities on Scheduled Castes, Tribes and Backward Classes, problems of farmers, unemployment and women related issues.

There will be uproar over the budget

While the government is prepared to describe the budget as development-oriented and public-friendly, the opposition has hinted at making the session a platform for accountability. In such a situation, the budget session starting from February 16 can witness a sharp confrontation between the government and the opposition.
