Ratlam: The process of registration of farmers for purchasing wheat at support price in Madhya Pradesh has started from Saturday. Farmers can register their wheat crop from 7th February to 7th March. The system of wheat registration has been made free of cost for the farmers at the facility centers established by the government, for which 3186 registration centers have been created. Apart from this, farmers can also get their crops registered by paying fees at MP Online and Facilitation Center established in Panchayat.

There was no crowd at the centers on the first day of registration

The registration process for purchasing wheat in the Rabi marketing year 2026-27 has started. Since Saturday was the first day of registration, most of the registration centers were seen empty. Where a few farmers have reached and got themselves registered. Giving information on this matter District Marketing Officer Harshvardhan Singh Said, “This time the system of farmer registration has been made simple and easy.”

Appeal for early registration to avoid inconvenience

So that farmers do not have to worry about registration, arrangements for registration centers have been made at the Panchayat level and also at the cooperative society level. Agriculture Officer Neelam Singh Said, “This year the support price of wheat has been fixed at Rs 2585 per quintal by the Government of India, which is Rs 160 more than last year. Farmers have got time from February 7 to March 7 to get themselves registered online for wheat procurement.” The Agriculture Officer has appealed to the farmers to get their wheat crops registered as soon as possible. So that later inconvenience can be avoided.

Where and how to register?

For wheat procurement, farmers can get free registration done by reaching the convenience centers established in Panchayat and District Panchayat offices, Tehsil offices and registration centers run by cooperative societies and marketing institutions. Apart from this, farmers can also register at MP Online Kiosk, Common Service Center Kiosk, Public Service Center by paying the prescribed fee (not more than Rs 50 per registration).
