New Delhi. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday faced security personnel deployed outside Banga Bhawan in Delhi. She clearly said that she has not come to the national capital for any movement. Their aim is to provide justice to the affected families through a special thorough revision of the electoral list. Mamta Banerjee had reached Delhi on Sunday. After this she went to Banga Bhawan, which is the guest house of the West Bengal government in Delhi. Those families who have been affected by the electoral list scrutiny process in Bengal are staying there. The Chief Minister became angry after seeing heavy police force deployed outside the building.

He asked the security personnel to behave sensitively with the people of Bengal. Mamata Banerjee alleged that the people of Bengal are being intimidated in Banga Bhawan. He told the media, “Our case is in the Supreme Court and we have a meeting with the Election Commission. People are worried, can’t their families even talk to the media?” The Chief Minister said, Delhi Police is deployed wherever the families affected by SIR are staying. When there is a blast in Delhi, where is the Delhi Police?

The Chief Minister said that I do not blame Delhi Police, I blame those who are at the top. He said that people in power have failed to protect the country and are committing atrocities on common people in the name of SIR. He compared Delhi to a zamindari, where there is no place for the poor.

Mamata Banerjee told the policemen, “I am not here for any agitation. If I had come to agitate, you would have lost your senses.” He demanded that Delhi Police stop harassing these families. Mamata Banerjee will also meet Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on this issue. He has also filed a petition in the Supreme Court against this process.
