At present 14 Vande Bharat and 21 Amrit trains are running in Bihar. In such a situation, if bullet train runs in Bihar, it will increase the pace of the state. Bullet train will run from Bihar to West Bengal. The bullet train will go from Varanasi to Siliguri via Patna. Giving information himself, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, ‘The first bullet train will run in Bihar. This train will go from Varanasi to Siliguri via Patna. This will be a big game changer for Bihar. Bihar’s economy and connectivity will benefit from this. From Varanasi, Siliguri can be reached in just 2 hours 55 minutes.

Announcement of construction of 7 new high speed rail corridors

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the country’s Union Budget on February 1. During this, Nirmala Sitharaman had announced the construction of 7 new high speed rail corridors. These also include Varanasi-Siliguri corridor. Usually it takes 14-16 hours by train between Varanasi and Siliguri. But the bullet train will cover the journey between Varanasi and Siliguri in just 2 hours 55 minutes. During this time the speed of the train will be 300 to 350 kilometers per hour. While passing through Bihar, apart from Patna, the Bullet train will also stop at stations like Buxar, Arrah, Katihar and Kishanganj.
