Satna: In Satna, Madhya Pradesh, the news of the death of a patient due to negligence of the hospital management came to light. It was alleged that the door of 108 ambulance did not open, due to which the patient died due to not getting timely treatment. Such allegations were made in the last one or two days. Although it has come to light that the patient had already died, it is also true that the door of the 108 ambulance got jammed, due to which the driver had to struggle to take out the body.

The patient was referred by ambulance in critical condition.

Often news of negligence of 108 ambulance service comes to light, this time after the death of a serious patient, the driver had to work hard to remove his body from the ambulance. A patient named Ramprasad, aged 67, from Ramnagar Community Health in Maihar, was referred to the district hospital in a critical condition by 108 ambulance after suffering a heart attack. It was told that the patient’s blood pressure was 198/112. In this situation, during referral, death had already occurred before reaching the district hospital, but on reaching the hospital, the door of 108 ambulance did not open.

After trying for a long time, the driver had to break the door by entering through the window. Only then could the patient be taken out, however, when the doctors did the checkup and declared the patient dead. It was told that he had died on the way. After which the family members went back to their home in the same ambulance with the dead body of the patient. A video of this incident surfaced, where it is being said that due to the door not opening, the patient could not get timely treatment and he died.

Regarding the matter, District Hospital Administrator RMO Dr Sharad Dubey informed that “In the district hospital, a patient, Ramprasad, was referred to the district hospital of Ramnagar. He had died on the way before reaching the hospital. The gate of the ambulance did not open for some time at the district hospital gate and to remove the body of the deceased, the driver had to enter through the window and open the door. For this, the ambulance operator was summoned to get the ambulance maintained from time to time, so that no such thing happens again.”
