Ujjain. The matter of entry into the sanctum sanctorum of Mahakal Temple reached the Supreme Court, the order issued by the High Court in which the District Collector was considered bound to grant permission for entry into the sanctum sanctorum, which order has been challenged in the Supreme Court. Advocate Charcharat Shastri told that a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court through senior advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, in which a petition has been filed to make equal arrangements for every person to enter the sanctum sanctorum of Baba Mahakal. A hearing on this petition is proposed in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
The petition reached the Supreme Court
Famous advocate Shastri told that the petition was rejected by the High Court on the grounds of personal injury and the District Collector deciding the temple arrangements, which has been challenged in the Supreme Court. Famous advocate Shastri said that in various temples of the country, the tradition of all the people entering the sanctum sanctorum and offering water to their beloved Lord Shiva has been going on for ages.
Discrimination against common people
Mahakal temple administration is allowing special people to enter the sanctum sanctorum, the temple administration is continuously discriminating against the common people. The said petition has been filed to protect the interests of the public, which will be heard in the double bench of Chief Justice Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joy Mallya Bagchi.
