Raipur : As many colors of literature are scattered in the Raipur Literature Festival organized at Purkhauti Muktangan complex, there are as many colors of photographs as well. The exhibition of beautiful paintings showing the grand diversity of Chhattisgarh in Surendra Dubey Pavilion fascinates the mind. The first picture of the pavilion that catches our attention is the picture of Chhattisgarh Mahtari. Chhattisgarh Mahtari has a Pandwani tambourine in one hand and a sickle in the other. She has a bundle of paddy in one hand and with the other hand she is giving blessings.

The mind becomes mesmerized after seeing this picture of Chhattisgarh Mahtari. This picture has been prepared by Raipur artist Sonal Sharma. After this, the picture of Awadh Kanwar appears before our eyes in which the market of Bastar comes alive. It seems that the poetry of Lala Jagdalpuri and Vinod Kumar Shukla has taken the form of painting. Janjgir artist Divya Chandra has created a picture of Rajim Kumbh. Rajim Kumbh appears in its full divinity in this picture. When one sees this picture, one starts feeling the warmth of the pilgrimage.

Those who have not seen the hills of Ramgarh, it is depicted here in a very vivid form and there is such magic in the picture that you will feel that it was at this place that Kalidas must have seen the clouds for the first time and the first plot of his immortal work Meghdoot must have been prepared here.

Workshop coordinator Bhojraj Dhangar said that under the three-day Raipur Sahitya Utsav 2026 organized at the Purkhauti Muktangan complex located in Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar, a grand painting exhibition has also been organized in the Surendra Dubey Pavilion to commemorate the silver jubilee year of Chhattisgarh state. In this exhibition, various paintings depicting the cultural heritage, natural beauty and life of the state have been displayed, which connect the audience with the soul of Chhattisgarh.

Along with the painting exhibition, painting workshop and cartoon workshop are also being organized in Surendra Dubey Pavilion, in which young artists and students are getting direct guidance from experienced artists. In the workshops, special attention is being given to aspects like color technique, drawing, expression and making cartoons on social topics.

A large number of literature lovers, students and general audience interested in painting were present in the literary festival. This confluence of art and literature has given a multidimensional form to the festival, where feelings are being expressed through words as well as colors.
