Chhattisgarh High Court has set a new record in the field of judicial efficiency and timely justice in 2025. Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Chief Justice Justice Ramesh Sinha, the High Court has recorded a significant reduction in the pendency of cases, thereby paving the way for common citizens to get speedy justice.

Emphasis on the principle of “Justice delayed, Justice denied”

Under the guidance of the Chief Justice, the Court imbibed the basic principle that justice delayed is justice denied. Under this thinking, priority was given to speedy, quality and effective disposal of cases. For this, clear policy guidelines, regular monitoring and better coordination were established between judges, advocates and court staff.

Judicial success seen in figures

According to official data, 84,305 cases were pending in the Chhattisgarh High Court on January 1, 2025. During the year 2025, 55,416 new cases were registered, while 64,054 cases were successfully disposed of. This resulted in a net reduction of 8,638 pending cases, which represents a decline of about 10.25 percent.

115.59% settlement rate boosted confidence

The disposal rate of cases in the year 2025 was 115.59 percent, which means the court resolved more old pending cases than new cases. This brought great relief to the justice seeking citizens and further strengthened the trust in the judiciary.

Technology and teamwork remained the basis of success

Initiatives like better utilization of technical resources, improvement in case management system and time bound hearing were important behind this achievement. Also, the commitment of judicial officers and staff made Chhattisgarh High Court 2025 a source of inspiration for judicial reforms.
