Many heroes have come and gone in Bollywood, but Salman’s charm is different. Today i.e. on 27th December, Indian cinema’s biggest superstar Salman Khan has turned 60. Salman Khan, popularly known as ‘Bhaijaan’ in Bollywood, is not only the Sultan on the cinema screen but he also has no equal in terms of earnings. Often fans think that their favorite stars earn money only from films or box office collection, but the reality is much bigger than this. Salman Khan has established himself as a brand in the last three decades. If we look at the data of Forbes India and media reports, Salman Khan is the owner of assets worth about Rs 2900 crore.
Not just acting fees, big share in profits too
Usually actors charge fixed fees for a film, but Salman Khan’s method is a little different. Reports suggest that he charges fees ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 150 crore for each of his film projects. However, the secret of his real earning is hidden in ‘profit sharing’. According to the report of Times of India, Salman keeps 60 to 70 percent share in the profits of his films. This means that when the film becomes a hit, more profit goes into Salman’s pocket than that of the producer. Apart from this, he has his own production house ‘Salman Khan Films’ (SKF), which has made successful films like ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Chillar Party’. This work of production and distribution is a very strong pillar of their income.
Smart model of business with charity
His foundation ‘Being Human’ has a huge contribution in Salman Khan’s net worth. The brand ‘Being Human Clothing’, started in the year 2012, has become an international name today. Interestingly, this brand does not earn profits just by selling clothes, but has a business model which is directly linked to social work. This brand has more than 90 stores across the country and also has its presence in Europe and the Middle East. The income earned from here is used through the foundation to provide education and health services, such as heart surgery and helping cancer patients. This is an investment of Salman which gives him blessings along with wealth.
Earning crores from fitness and grooming
Salman Khan is considered a fitness icon and he has converted his hobby into a profitable business. He started a chain of gyms named ‘SK-27’ and then launched a series of fitness equipment named ‘Being Strong’. Today their gyms and equipment are being used in big cities of the country. Apart from this, during the Corona period, Salman also entered the grooming market and launched a brand named ‘FRSH’. This includes products ranging from sanitizers to perfumes, which have gained a good hold in the market.
Uncrowned king of TV and advertisements
Apart from the big screen, Salman Khan has absolute rule over the small screen too. They charge huge amount from the makers for hosting the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’. If reports are to be believed, he has charged Rs 45 to 50 crore weekly for the recent season of Bigg Boss, which is not less than the fees of any film. At the same time, in the world of brand endorsement, Salman’s face is a symbol of trust. They advertise big brands like Hero Honda, Realme and Britannia. According to reports, Salman charges around Rs 6 to 7 crore for an advertisement. From all these sources, Salman Khan earns around Rs 250 crore annually, which includes him in the list of the richest actors of the country.
