The holy month of Ramadan brings the message of mercy and blessings in Islam, but the second Ashra starting from the eleventh fast is especially known for Magfirat i.e. forgiveness of sins. It is believed that if a person repents with a true heart during these 10 days, then Allah will accept his prayers. This is the reason why the enthusiasm for worship increases in mosques, people spend more and more time in namaz, recitation and prayer.
The holy month of Ramadan is considered a month of self-purification, patience and worship in Islam. The first ten days are called Ashra of Rahmat. The second Ashra starting from the eleventh fast is called Magfirat i.e. Ashra of forgiveness. This period lasts from 11th to 20th Roza and is considered the most special time to repent from sins and seek forgiveness from Allah.
If you apologize with a true heart, it is accepted.
In this Ashra, Allah opens the doors of forgiveness for His servants. The person who sincerely repents and repents for his/her sins is considered to have higher chances of getting his/her prayers accepted. This is the reason why these days the number of worshipers in mosques increases and people spend more time in worship.
This prayer is recited to seek forgiveness
Haji Munawwar Qadri of Ayesha Masjid Indra Colony of Barmer city explains that repentance is not just apologizing with words but repenting from the heart and having a firm intention of not committing the same mistake again in the future. The famous dua recited in this Ashra, “Astaghfirullah Rabbi Min Kulli Zambin wa Atubu Ilaih” gives the message to the person to ask for forgiveness of his sins and return to Allah.
Help the needy by giving zakat and sadaka
In the second Ashra, people pay special attention to Nafl Namaz, recitation of Quran, Zikr and Dua along with five daily Namaz. Helping the needy by giving Zakat and Sadaka also holds more importance in this era. The feeling of brotherhood, forgiveness and reconciliation is also promoted in the society. After the twentieth fast, the third Ashra of Ramadan begins, which is called the Ashra of salvation from the fire of Jahannam. In these last ten days, worship increases even more and Shab-e-Qadr is searched for.
