Raipur : The sixth episode of the popular radio program ‘Didi Ke Goth’, run by Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission Bihan under the aegis of Panchayat and Rural Development Department, was broadcast on Thursday. In this episode, rural women associated with self-help groups on financial inclusion told inspiring stories of their economic empowerment.

While encouraging the didis of self-help groups in the first episode of the New Year, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma in his greeting message said that in the new year, all the didis of self-help groups should work well with new enthusiasm and new wave and make the organization even stronger. Sisters of self-help groups should together strengthen organizations and groups. In this way we all will together decide the path of progress.

In this special episode, didis from Durg, Balod and Gariaband districts shared their life experiences. Khileshwari Dewangan of Jai Santoshi Self-Help Group of village Gabdi of Gunderdehi development block of Balod district, who became an example of women empowerment through financial inclusion, told how by joining Bihaan, she is moving forward on the path of success and self-reliance.

He told that Bihaan is not just a scheme, but a journey of self-respect and self-reliance of rural women. Financial inclusion not only provides livelihood to women under Bihan, but also gives them the direction of stability, respect and self-reliance.

In this episode, it was explained in detail about the positive and permanent changes that women can make by connecting to banking facilities and financial services like regular savings, loans, insurance and digital transactions and the strengthening of the state’s economy by rural women. Like before, this sixth episode was broadcast in Hindi, Chhattisgarhi, Gondi and Sadri. Women and people associated with self-help groups from across the state listened to this program in their homes and centers and got inspiration.
