Some temples have more beliefs than they are simple in appearance. Some temples of India hold within themselves the history and the future. Kedareshwar located in Harishchandragarh Fort of Maharashtra is one of those miraculous temples. It is believed that the earth started from this temple and will end in this temple also. The pillars built in this temple indicate the end of Kaliyuga. It is believed that just by visiting this temple, the sins of all the devotees are destroyed and every wish of the mind is fulfilled. This temple was not only famous because of its history but the secret of creation is hidden in this temple. Let us know about this temple…

The temple is located inside a cave
There is no architecture of the temple nor has any expenditure been made to make the temple grand, but still devotees come from far and wide to have darshan of the Kedareshwar form of Lord Shiva. The temple is located inside a cave, which remains filled with water throughout the year. The water around the temple also changes its temperature according to the season. The water becomes lukewarm in winter and as cold as ice in summer.

The four pillars of the temple symbolize the four eras.
It is believed that the four pillars of the temple are symbols of Satyayuga, Tretayuga, Dwaparayuga and Kaliyuga. Three pillars of the temple have been broken and only one remains. It is said that the remaining pillar is a symbol of Kaliyuga, when Kaliyuga ends, then this pillar will also break and fall and the earth will be destroyed. The road to reach the temple is very inaccessible, which passes through the hills. There is no concrete road to reach the temple. The temple can be reached only through trekking on the hill.

5 feet Shivalinga seated
A 5 feet Shivalinga is present in the middle of the cave of the temple. It is believed that Shivalinga is self-existent. Lord Shiva himself appeared here after penance. The gopuram of the temple is built above the cave, which was constructed with the help of stone. It was built by the Kalachuri dynasty in the sixth century. The caves were discovered in the 11th century. A unique view of nature can be seen around the temple, which attracts the devotees.
