Raipur : In the inaccessible Maad areas of Bastar division, the youth holding guns, who were once synonymous with fear and violence, are now writing a new story of society building. Due to the continuous initiatives and rehabilitation efforts of the government, the youth who had left the path of Naxalism are now returning to the mainstream. Similarly, 30 youth of Bijapur have successfully learned the art of building construction through mason training. This change is not only a sign of peace in the region, but also a new beginning of self-reliance and hope.

Now youth will build houses for the poor
After acquiring mason skills, these youth will now use their skills in constructing safe houses for needy and poor families. Besides, these trained youth will also contribute to the houses under construction under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which will improve both the speed and quality of housing construction in the district.
Youth got training in construction from foundation to finishing
During the training, the youth were taught important skills like foundation and wall construction, plastering, measurement, safety standards in construction, practical use of modern technologies. All the participants will also be provided a certificate on completion of the training, so that they can get employment in government and private construction works in future.
Enthusiastic youth are now joining the society.
In this regard, R-SETI trainers said that these youth showed amazing enthusiasm in learning and working. This change is inspiring. The youth who were once away from the society are now working to improve the society.
