Raipur : Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) is realizing the dream of permanent housing of the needy rural families of the district. The families who were once forced to live in kutcha houses are now getting security and respect in their lives. Under the direction of the Collector and the leadership of the District Panchayat CEO, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) is being effectively implemented in the district, due to which permanent houses are being constructed at a fast pace in the rural areas.
The permanent residence of Krishna Vishwas, residing in Gram Panchayat Ajarima of Ambikapur development block, is ready. His daughter Sutapsi Vishwas told that earlier his family used to live in a kutcha house, where it became very difficult to live especially during the rainy days. Along with water dripping from the roof, there was also the fear of poisonous animals. Krishna Vishwas told that the incentive amount received from the government under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) gave his family the strength to build a permanent house. By combining the capital accumulated from agricultural labor with government assistance, he built the permanent house of his dreams. Today, a total of five members including his parents and grandfather are living safely and respectfully in this house.
Taapsee Biswas said that Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) is proving to be a boon for needy rural families. This scheme has not only given them safe accommodation but also stability and self-respect in life. Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on behalf of his family, he said that this public welfare scheme of the government has fulfilled their dream of having a permanent house and has improved the standard of living of rural families.
