Special program on Army Day in Agricultural College, Raipur, enrollment of 13 cadets in Air Wing NCC.

Raipur : A special program was organized at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium today on the occasion of Army Day in Agricultural College, Raipur. On this occasion, 13 students selected in Air Wing NCC were formally enrolled by wearing badges.

The program started with Vande Mataram and the university anthem. After this, the chief guest of the program was Brigadier D.K. Patra, Group Commander, NCC and other guests were welcomed. The program was presided over by Dr. (Colonel) Girish Chandel, Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University. Wing Commander Vivek Kumar Sahu, Commanding Officer, 3 CG Air Squadron NCC, Raipur was present among the special guests. The guests were welcomed by presenting them with flower bouquets and mementos.

In the welcome address, Dr. Aarti Guhe, Dean of Agriculture College, Raipur, warmly welcomed all the guests and gave the message to the students to move forward in life with discipline, determination, dedication and dedication. University alumnus and administrative officer, Colonel Lokesh Deva of 7 CG NCC Battalion, Bilaspur shared his experiences and inspired the youth for national service.

Wing Commander Vivek Kumar Sahu said that 13 cadets of the College of Agriculture have been selected through the three-tier selection process of the Air Wing NCC. After this, the thirteen selected NCC cadets were formally enrolled in Air Wing NCC by wearing badges.

Presiding over the program, Vice Chancellor Dr. (Colonel) Girish Chandel congratulated the selected cadets and called it a matter of pride for the university.

Chief Guest Brigadier D.K. Appreciating the military background of the university, Patra inspired the students to consider various routes of service, especially options like NDA. He laid special emphasis on being always ready for sacrifice, struggle and challenges, developing good habits, taking risks and learning a language other than Hindi and English.

At the end of the program, Dr. Major G.K. Srivastava expressed his gratitude. The program was conducted by Dr. Niyati Pandey, Director of 8 CG Girls Battalion of the college.

On this occasion, Dr. Lieutenant Colonel Dharamveer Singh Chauhan, Deputy Director, AIIMS Raipur; Dr. N.V. Raman Rao, Director, NIT Raipur; Dr. Krishnadutt Chawli, Dean Student Welfare, AIIMS Raipur; University Dean Student Welfare Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Director Extension Services Dr. S.S. Tuteja, Head of Department, professors, officers and a large number of students were present.
