Bhopal : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that soldiers not only protect the borders of India but also protect the self-respect of the country. He said that the entire nation bows before the one who wears uniform and stands for the country. The tricolor of India is flying proudly because of the love and dedication of the soldiers towards the motherland. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav paid tribute at the feet of the brave martyrs who sacrificed everything in the service of Mother India. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Rajya Sainik Rally in Ujjain virtually from the government airport of Bhopal.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a source of inspiration for all of us, his condolences towards the soldiers are commendable. He said that the loss of our brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the defense of the country cannot be compensated, but the government stands with the families of such heroes at every step. The state government is ensuring that the martyred dependents receive pension, financial assistance, employment and all basic facilities on time and with dignity. He said that wherever required, these schemes will be further strengthened. The state government has now increased the monthly assistance amount given to the parents of martyrs to Rs 10,000 per month. An assistance amount of Rs 51 thousand is being provided on the marriage of daughters and sisters of martyrs. The amount of assistance given to the dependents of Army and Central Armed Police Forces personnel martyred in war and military action has been increased to Rs 1 crore.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the monthly pension amount of World War II soldiers and their wives residing in the state has been increased from Rs. 8 thousand to Rs. 15 thousand per month, which is the highest in the country. The highest honorarium is given by the state government to the soldiers and their dependents awarded with various gallantry and distinguished service decorations. The honor fund of parents of Madhya Pradesh residents whose daughter is in the army was increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 per year. As a result of these efforts, Madhya Pradesh Sainik Welfare Directorate was awarded the “Progressive State Trophy” by the Defense Minister in the year 2025. He informed that the District Sainik Welfare Offices are being further strengthened and the work of upgrading Sainik Rest Homes is also going on. Employment and self-employment opportunities are being expanded in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is his wish that the military rally should further strengthen the feeling of national pride and unity. He also wished everyone a happy Republic Day in advance.
