Bhopal. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given detailed information about the Railway Budget 2026 released for different states of the country. A budget of Rs 15188 crore has been given for the development works of Railways in Madhya Pradesh for the upcoming financial year. While addressing the press conference, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that this budget given is 24 times more than that given during the Congress rule.

Work on new project will be done rapidly

With this budget given for Madhya Pradesh, work on new projects will be done at a fast pace. The Railway Minister said that work is going on on a project worth Rs 1 lakh 18 thousand crore in Madhya Pradesh. With this, 100% electrification work has been completed in Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, work will also be done rapidly on new rail corridors in Madhya Pradesh.

One out of 7 rail corridors will be built in Madhya Pradesh

Out of the seven rail corridors presented in the Union Budget, one corridor is also being included in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is going to play a major role in this rail corridor being built between West Bengal and Gujarat because a large part of this rail corridor will pass through Madhya Pradesh. Due to which there will be rapid development in the industrial sector of Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh Railway will have a different form in 5 years

The Railway Minister said that a different form of Railways is going to be seen in Madhya Pradesh in the next 5 years. Bullet train will play a major role in connecting big cities. Bullet trains will reduce dependence on petrol and diesel to a great extent. With the introduction of the new train, convenience for passengers will increase. Railways have also made special preparations for the Simhastha Kumbh to be held in Ujjain in the coming year. Shobhana Bandopadhyay, General Manager of West Central Railway, said that work on new projects is being done at a rapid pace in West Central Railway in Madhya Pradesh. The budget released by the Railway Ministry will accelerate the development works. Continuous efforts are also being made to start new trains.
