Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved to create a better India, a better India, a self-reliant India and a developed India in accordance with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. The youth of the state will be exposed to this resolve of the Prime Minister when they participate in the 29th National Youth Festival to be organized in New Delhi.
Sharma was interacting with the youth participants of the state participating in the 29th National Youth Festival at the Chief Minister’s Office on Wednesday. He said that youth are the leaders of the nation and they are also the biggest hope for the future. Leadership abilities develop only through the confidence and curiosity of young minds. Describing the participating youth as the brand ambassadors of the state, he expressed confidence that all the participants will hoist the flag of the state in the festival and will become a source of inspiration for the entire state.

The Chief Minister said that Swami Vivekananda had called upon the youth to ‘get up, wake up and stop not till the destination is achieved’. He had said that the 21st century will belong to India and today under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving towards leading the world.
Youth festivals are being organized at state, division and district level.
Sharma said that the state government has taken important steps for youth welfare. The state government is organizing youth and sports festivals at the state, division and district levels from 7 to 12 January on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Under this, young artists are being given awards up to Rs 1,000 at the district level, Rs 1.5 thousand at the division level and Rs 50,000 at the state level. Like the National Youth Icon Award, Rajasthan Youth Icon Award and a cash amount of Rs 1 lakh is being awarded in the state.

Government jobs for 92 thousand youth, recruitment of more than 1.5 lakh is under process.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has given government jobs to about 92 thousand youth and recruitment on more than 1.5 lakh posts is under process. In the private sector also, along with providing skill training to more than three lakh youth, about two and a half lakh youth have been given employment. He said that recently Khelo India University Games has been successfully organized to promote the players. At the same time, the youth of the state participated enthusiastically in the Rajasthan DigiFest TIE Global Summit and understood the new technology. He said that youth should become employment providers instead of employment seekers.

In his address, the Chief Minister mentioned Harshita Sharma who had won the first prize in the National Youth Parliament. Besides, he also told about Sukavya Singh who had met the Prime Minister at the Vikas Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue last year.

In the program, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore said that the youth have got the opportunity to represent Rajasthan on the national platform. He said that all the contestants should use this opportunity as a medium to know about other states.

The youth participants, while sharing their views with the Chief Minister, said that youth is the engine of development of the country and all of them will play an active role in building a developed India by contributing in various fields including education, health, technology. The Chief Minister extended his hearty congratulations to all the participants for their successful participation in the National Youth Festival. During the dialogue, the Chief Minister interacted one-to-one with the youth and also took selfies with them.

It is noteworthy that 44 youth of the state have been selected in the competition organized for the Vikas Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue for participation in the National Youth Festival. Besides, 29 youth of the state have been selected for competitions like group folk dance, folk singing, story writing, painting and speech and 02 youth have been selected for Hack for Social Cause event.

On this occasion, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, Additional Chief Secretary (Chief Minister) Akhil Arora, Government Secretary of Youth Affairs and Sports Department, Dr. Neeraj K. Pawan along with other officers and participating youth were present.
