New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party’s newly appointed national president Nitin Nabin has been allotted a bungalow in New Delhi. He has been allotted a government bungalow at 1 Motilal Nehru Marg, New Delhi. He has been given Type-8 government accommodation. Now this bungalow has once again become a topic of discussion in political circles.
Before the bungalow was given to Nitin Nabin, this bungalow was allotted to former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and JMM leader Shibu Soren. However, now this government residence has been given to BJP President Nitin Nabin in his place. This bungalow of BJP President is located in one of the major VIP areas of the country’s capital. Along with this, it is also considered very special from security and administrative point of view.
BJP President Nitin Nabin was earlier given the option to allot the bungalow at 9 Sunehri Bagh Lane. Although he did not like this bungalow. This is why other options were being searched for. After which the bungalow at 1 Motilal Nehru Marg was allotted to him.
There are already many rules regarding the national president of any party. According to the rules of the Directorate of Estates, there is a provision to allot a Type-8 category government bungalow to the national president of a national political party, if he is not a Union Minister, Lok Sabha MP or Rajya Sabha MP. Nitin Nabin also falls in this category. This is the reason why he has been given this option.
Overall, this new government residence given to Nitin Nabin is being linked to the organizational importance of BJP and the dignity of the post of party president. Former BJP president J.P. Nadda’s official residence is located at 7-B, Motilal Nehru Marg in New Delhi.
