The country is celebrating 77th Republic Day today. During this national festival, flags were hoisted all over the country. During one such event in Kannur, Kerala, State Museum and Archeology Minister Ramachandran Kadanappalli fainted after hoisting the national flag during the 77th Republic Day celebrations at the police ground. Congress (Secular) state president and Kannur constituency MLA Kadanappalli (81), while delivering the message on the occasion of Republic Day, was accompanied by DSC Band, Police, Excise, Jail, NCC, SPC, Scouts and Guides and Junior Red. After inspecting the parade of 24 platoons, including Cross, he became unconscious. As soon as he fell unconscious, the District Collector and police officers caught hold of him and saved him from falling on the ground. Within a few minutes he regained consciousness and walked towards the ambulance. He was taken to a private hospital near Kannur town, where doctors said his health was stable.
