The birthplace of Acharya Rajneesh (Guru Osho), located in village Kuchwada under Udaipur assembly constituency, once again became famous as a center of spiritual consciousness, when Panchayat and Rural Development and Labor Minister Prahlad Singh Patel visited the Ashram premises. On the occasion of Osho’s birth centenary, he made a thorough inspection of the entire complex and made a close observation of its current condition, arrangements and needs. This visit was not just a formal visit, but a symbol of reverence and sense of responsibility towards the Indian spiritual tradition. It is noteworthy that during a program organized in Jabalpur some time ago, Minister Patel had expressed his desire to visit Osho’s birthplace. In accordance with the same resolution, today he reached village Kuchwad and shared his views on the conservation of places associated with Osho.
From protection to cultivation
Seeing the actual condition of the ashram, Minister Patel decided to carry out the conservation, promotion and necessary improvement work of this holy place. He said that the thoughts of Lord Rajneesh Osho are related to meditation, consciousness and self-realization, which gave the vision to see human life from within. Osho’s influence has been widespread not only in India but also internationally.
Guru tradition: the foundation of the Indian soul
On this occasion, Minister Patel said, “Guru tradition has been the soul of Indian culture. Great Gurus like Osho gave a new direction to human consciousness. Preservation of the holy places associated with such Gurus is necessary for the society and the coming generations.” He also clarified that the development of these places is not just a physical but an effort to save our spiritual heritage. The preservation of Osho’s birthplace will become a source of inspiration for seekers, thinkers and youth in the times to come.
