Bhopal : Madhya Pradesh Police is continuously taking strict steps with the aim of strengthening law and order in the state and rooting out organized crime. In this sequence, the police has successfully and quickly exposed the incidents of serious robbery and robbery that took place in Khandwa and Morena districts. Taking prompt action, special police teams seized material worth approximately Rs 97 lakh 50 thousand and arrested 10 accused.
Morena – Highway robbery incident revealed in 04 days
Police station Civil Lines has successfully busted the robbery incident that took place on the highway and arrested 07 accused. On January 22, the complainant had filed a report that at around 03 o’clock in the night, A.B. About Rs 19 lakh in cash was looted at gunpoint by unknown persons on Road Morena after overtaking and stopping his Artika car. Keeping in view the seriousness and sensitivity of the incident, a special team was formed by Superintendent of Police Morena for quick investigation, arrest of the accused involved in the serious incident of robbery on the highway and recovery of property. The incident site was closely inspected and physical evidence and other evidence found at the incident site were collected. Subsequently, the footage of more than 300 CCTV cameras at the incident site and on the way forward was checked and the informer system was activated.
The activities of the driver of the complainant’s vehicle were monitored, the driver meeting the vehicle owner while taking the complainant in his vehicle and the presence of the vehicle owner at the time of the incident was also observed at the spot. Based on the above evidence, when the driver was interrogated, he gave information about the money to his vehicle owner and admitted to committing the robbery along with his other associates. On the basis of information received from the informer, 06 accused involved in the case including the main accused of the incident were also arrested. Rs 18 lakh 50 thousand 200 in cash, property worth about Rs 27 lakh 50 thousand including the Swift car and air gun used in the incident have been seized from the possession of the accused. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Khandwa – Robbery from bullion trader busted
Taking the incident of sensational robbery of a bullion trader in Punasa area of the district with utmost seriousness, the police has exposed it. In the incident, bags full of gold and silver jewelery were looted at gunpoint by unknown miscreants and there was also fighting and firing during the incident. Special teams formed by the police identified the organized gang through technical evidence, CCTV analysis, traditional policing, informer mechanism and inter-district coordination and arrested 03 accused. During the operation, material worth approximately Rs 71 lakh 50 thousand including gold jewellery, cash, a country-made pistol and mobile phone was seized from the possession of the accused.
It is clear from these actions taken in both the districts that Madhya Pradesh Police is fully committed to taking prompt, technical and effective action on serious incidents like organized crime, dacoity and robbery.
