Raipur : An important meeting regarding the organization of Mainpat Mahotsav 2026 was held in Ambikapur District Panchayat Hall on Thursday under the chairmanship of Tourism and Culture Minister Rajesh Aggarwal. Collector Ajit Vasant, Superintendent of Police Rajesh Aggarwal, District Panchayat CEO Vinay Aggarwal, Additional Collector Sunil Nayak, local public representatives and concerned officials were present in this meeting.
Outline of three-day grand event decided
On the lines of previous years, this time too Mainpat Mahotsav 2026 will be organized near Ropakhar Reservoir on probable dates of 13, 14 and 15 February. A detailed discussion took place in the meeting with the aim of making the festival grand and dignified. In the outline of the program, date, time, welcoming of guests, selection of artists, various competitions, cultural programs, departmental stalls, adventure activities and other important points were discussed. Minister Aggarwal emphasized on coordinated efforts.
Instructions to give priority to local artists and shopkeepers and organize dignified events
Minister Aggarwal gave clear instructions that maximum platform should be provided to local artists and school-college students in the festival. He ordered local shopkeepers to provide space for allotment of stalls, in which private institutions can also participate. It was asked to invite applications for this.
Along with ensuring adequate space for entertainment, sports activities and stalls, the Public Works Department, Forest Department and other departments were asked to fully discharge their responsibilities. He said that like every year, this year too the government and administration should work with full coordination to ensure that the event is conducted in a dignified manner. Mainpat Mahotsav will become a major platform to showcase the cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh, which will play an important role in promoting tourism.
