Patna. Bihar JD (U) State President Umesh Singh Kushwaha, while making a sharp retort at Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, said that it is extremely ironic that during the reign of his parents, Bihar had become synonymous with Jungle Raj and the entire state was bleeding due to the orgy of power-funded criminals, he is preaching on law and order today. He said that during the Lalu-Rabri regime, mothers and sisters were forced to live under the shadow of fear. There was an atmosphere of insecurity and anarchy in the entire state. Law and order was limited only on paper, while the ground reality was dominated by criminals. Even FIRs of common people were not registered in the police stations. That 15 years of rule is recorded as a dark chapter in the history of Bihar, which the people of the state have not forgotten even today. The State President said that today a fear-free environment is established in Bihar under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Daughters are going to school and college without any fear, because they have unwavering faith in the governance system of the state. The result of this belief is that the daughters who were afraid to step out of the door of the house during the previous governments, are today waving the flag of success in every field. An unprecedented increase has been recorded in women’s participation in education, employment and other sectors.
Shri Kushwaha said that it is well known that in the Lalu-Rabri government, criminals were given shelter in the CM House, whereas the present government finds criminals even from the underworld and sends them behind bars. This is the clear difference between a government of good governance and jungle raj. The people of the state understand very well the difference between past and present.
