India invited for peace initiative in Gaza, Trump proposed to join the Board of Peace

#News #Latest #trending #india

Washington. US President Donald Trump has invited India to be a part of the ‘Board of Peace’ being formed to restore peace in Gaza. This board is being formed to end the ongoing conflict in Gaza and take forward the peace process. Also, this initiative is related to Trump’s 20-point peace plan to end the ongoing conflict in Gaza. America is moving towards implementing the second phase of this plan.

Let us tell you that this invitation has been given to India in view of its global credibility, balanced foreign policy and role in peace efforts. It is believed that the countries included in this board will keep an eye on the situation in Gaza, consider steps related to humanitarian aid, reconstruction and stopping the conflict. However, there is no official response from India on this proposal yet. In such a situation, if India joins this initiative, it can further strengthen its role in the peace process in West Asia.

What is ‘Board of Peace’?
The White House on Friday released the list of members of the Board of Peace. This board will oversee peace, stability, reconstruction and long-term development in Gaza. The chairman of this board will be Donald Trump himself. According to the White House, the board includes many big and influential names, including

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair
Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff
World Bank President Ajay Banga
Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner
Mark Rowan, CEO of Apollo Global Management
US Deputy National Security Advisor Robert Gabriel

Apart from this, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Qatari diplomat Ali Al Thawadi have also been included in the Gaza Executive Board.

Now understand what will be the responsibility of the board?
The White House said that the board members will be responsible for many important areas related to Gaza, such as strengthening administration and governance, improving relations with regional countries, reconstruction of Gaza, attracting investment and large-scale funding and capital mobilization.

One may have to pay one billion dollars to join Gaza Peace Board
It is noteworthy that to join the Gaza Peace Board, countries may have to pay one billion US dollars. US President Donald Trump will be the founding chairman of this board. Quoting the draft letter, the media report claims that the tenure of the members will not exceed three years. The issue of renewal of membership will depend on the President.

However, the White House has called this report misleading. She said that no minimum fee has been prescribed to join the board. The White House said in a social media post that it simply grants permanent membership to partner countries that demonstrate a deep commitment to peace, security and prosperity.

Who will look after the work on the ground?
At the same time, Nikolai Mladenov, a member of the board, has been made the High Representative of Gaza. He will act as a link between the board and the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG). NCAG has been described as an important part of the second phase of Trump’s peace plan. It will be led by Ali Shaath, who will work to restore essential public services in Gaza, rebuild civilian institutions, stabilize the lives of ordinary people, and lay the foundation for future self-governance.

Security system also included
Not only this, Major General Jasper Jeffers has been appointed commander of the International Stabilization Force (ASF) to maintain security in Gaza. They will ensure security operations, a weapons-free environment, humanitarian aid and the secure supply of construction materials.
