Indore. A road accident took place this Saturday morning at Bheru Ghat of Mumbai-Agra National Highway in Manpura police station area in Mhow, Indore. In the accident, 7 vehicles collided with each other, trucks and gas tankers ran over the cars, due to which the entire highway was closed. It is fortunate that there was no loss of life in this accident.
The truck went out of control and rammed into a mini truck.
This accident happened in the Ghat section of Manpur Bheru Ghat, where there is a long slope of about two kilometers. A speeding truck was passing through this same slope, which went out of control and rammed into the mini truck moving ahead. As soon as the mini truck was hit, it collided with the car moving ahead, after which another car and a pickup vehicle collided with each other, due to which 7 vehicles crashed in no time.
Bheru Ghat lane completely closed
After the accident, the lane descending from Bheru Ghat was completely closed, due to which the traffic was badly affected. After this, vehicular movement was started on both sides from the ghat climbing lane, but this led to a long jam of about two kilometers. In view of the traffic jam, many drivers changed their routes to go to Indore and Dhamnod.
Police engaged in investigation of the case
As soon as the information was received, Manpur police force reached the spot and took over the traffic arrangements. According to the police, the container (number MH 46 BU 0506) coming from Indore went out of control while landing at Bheru Ghat and hit the bike moving ahead (number MP 09 AX 4698) from behind, which worsened the situation. Very horrifying videos have emerged from the incident site. At present Manpur Police is investigating the entire matter and efforts are on to normalize the traffic.
