Raipur : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, health facilities are continuously expanding in Jashpur district. Emergency health services have become more strengthened after the Chief Minister gifted 10 additional Sanjeevani Express ambulances to the residents of the district. At present, a total of 24 Sanjeevani Express ambulances are running day and night in the urban and rural areas of the district as life savers.
Deepak Sahu, manager of Sanjeevani Express 108 of the district, said that during the year 2025, through the Dial 108 Sanjeevani Express ambulance service, timely emergency health care was provided to a total of 10,114 patients in the district. These ambulances have played an important role in emergency cases like road accidents, serious illnesses, heart attacks, snake bites and maternity.
In 2025, 572 pregnant women were taken to the hospital for safe delivery by Dial 108 Sanjeevani Express ambulance. In many cases, the lives of the mother and the newborn were saved by successful delivery inside the ambulance, which is a testament to the modern equipment available in the ambulance and the readiness of trained health workers.
Due to the additional 10 ambulances provided by Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, prompt health assistance has been ensured even to remote and inaccessible areas. This has not only reduced the response time, but people in rural areas are also getting timely life-saving medical care. District residents say that Sanjeevani Express Ambulance Service has given new strength to the health system by becoming a reliable support in emergency situations.
