On the occasion of 77th Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day Theme – Developed Uttar Pradesh, Developed India, a joint celebration of Uttar Pradesh Day and National Girl Child Day was organized in Seth Fuchchand Bagla College campus. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp and garlanding the Radha-Krishna statue by State Women Commission Chairperson Dr Babita Singh Chauhan, District Panchayat President Seema Upadhyay, MLA Sikandra Rao Virendra Singh Rana, MLA Sadabad Pradeep Kumar, District President Prem Singh Kushwaha, District Magistrate Atul Vats, Superintendent of Police Chirnjeev Nath Sinha and Chief Development Officer PN Dixit. The District Magistrate said that the United Province was named Uttar Pradesh on January 24, 1950 and this day is being celebrated every year since 2018. Development of India is not possible without the development of Uttar Pradesh, for this purpose this year’s theme has been kept as Developed Uttar Pradesh – Developed India. He described asafoetida and rabri of Hathras as the identity of the district. State Women Commission Chairman, while emphasizing on empowerment, education and health of girls on National Girl Child Day, said that daughters are the heritage of the society and when they get the opportunity, they are progressing in every field. While congratulating Uttar Pradesh Day, the MLAs said that schemes like Expressway, Airport, Industrial Corridor and ODOP have given new impetus to development in the state. Exhibitions of various departments, Shri Anna Mela, Ayushman and Aadhaar camps, Rangoli and cultural activities were organized in the programme. During this, beneficiaries of various schemes including progressive farmers, women of self-help groups, meritorious girl students, officers and employees were honored by distributing certificates and materials. In the end, the Chief Development Officer expressed his gratitude to all the guests and attendees. Public representatives, officials, media persons and a large number of general public were present in the program.
