Raipur : Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap said that the government aims to make rural life easier by providing roads, irrigation and basic facilities to remote villages. He expressed confidence that with these development works worth crores of rupees, farmers will get better irrigation system, transportation will become easier and socio-cultural activities will get a new identity.
Giving new impetus to the development works under Narayanpur assembly constituency, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap performed the bhoomi pujan of various construction works worth more than Rs 65 crore 96 lakh during the programs organized in Salemta and Ghotia. The Bhoomipujan works include works worth Rs 6276.65 lakh in Salemta area and Rs 320.12 lakh in Ghotia area.
Development works worth Rs 6276.65 lakh launched in Salemta area
The biggest work in Salemta is the 24 km renovation of the main canal of Kosarteda project by the Water Resources Department, which costs Rs 4132.58 lakh. Along with this, bhoomi pujan of work worth Rs 402.59 lakh was done for Anicut cum Solar Lift Irrigation Scheme on Korarteda Nala, Rs 423.68 lakh for Giralkona Anicut cum Solar Lift Irrigation Scheme in Khandsara area. Similarly, Rs 421.35 lakh has been approved for the scheme in Mundaguda area and Rs 422.41 lakh has been approved for the construction of Solguda Stop Dam cum Solar Lift Irrigation. Work worth Rs 350.75 lakh is also included for construction of road, drain, boundary wall, water tank and pipeline, sports complex in Irrigation Colony located at Bhanpuri, while Rs 98.29 lakh has been sanctioned for construction of road under PMGSY. Apart from this, small scale culvert construction work will be done at a cost of Rs 4.50 lakh, 09 lakh and 11.50 lakh. Where the total sum of all these works is Rs 6276.65 lakh.
Bhoomipujan of development work worth Rs 320.12 lakh in Ghotiya area
In the second phase, Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth a total of Rs 320.12 lakh was done in the program organized in Ghotia. Here, there is a provision of Rs 298.62 lakh for the bank protection work on the Orange River near Gunpur, while Rs 09 lakh was approved for the construction of a culvert near the high school. Similarly, Rs 5 lakh each has been earmarked for construction of cultural building in Gudipara and Tirtha and Rs 2.50 lakh has been earmarked for distribution of water tanker in Gram Panchayat Guria. Where the total cost of development works is Rs 320.12 lakh.
On this occasion, District Panchayat Vice President Baldev Mandavi, Santosh Baghel, District Panchayat member Nirdesh Diwan along with public representatives, officials and a large number of villagers were present.
