Bhopal : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Farmer Welfare Year 2026 in a grand and dignified manner on Sunday from the capital Bhopal. He led the historic 1101 tractor rally of farmers on the inauguration occasion. The disciplined participation of a large number of tractors gave a historic character to the program. Seeing the enthusiasm of the farmers in the tractor rally, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this tractor rally is not just an event, but a strong symbol of farmers’ solidarity, self-confidence and the farmer-friendly thinking of the state government. This event is an indication that the state government is committed to taking continuous and concrete steps in the interest of farmers by giving top priority to agriculture.

An emotional and inspiring moment came in the program when Chief Minister Dr. Yadav himself took command of the tractor. Sitting on the tractor and driving it after requesting the tractor driver shows the Chief Minister’s spontaneity and respect for the labor of the farmers. This simplicity and intimacy of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav left the present crowd emotional. Farmers greeted farmer-turned-Chief Minister Dr. Yadav with thunderous applause.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the center of the government’s policies are farmers, women, youth and the poor. Keeping in mind the empowerment of these four sections, the state government is planning schemes and programs so that the benefits of development reach the last person of the society.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced to celebrate the year 2026 as “Farmers Welfare Year”. Dunn said that during this period special focus will be given to the interests of farmers. For effective implementation of Farmer Welfare Year, 16 departments of the state government will work with mutual coordination, so that all the dimensions related to agriculture – production, cost, marketing, income and welfare can be strengthened together.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the agricultural growth rate of the state has reached 16 percent, which shows the agricultural potential of the state and the success of policy efforts. He clarified that the government’s aim is not only to increase production but also to implement concrete and practical measures to increase the income of farmers and reduce agricultural costs.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this is the first day of fulfillment of the resolution of agricultural welfare year 2026. Development and welfare programs will be conducted continuously throughout the year. The government will endeavor to ensure that farmers prosper, agriculture becomes sustainable and the rural economy gets new strength.
