Bhopal : Women and Child Development Department Minister Nirmala Bhuria has said that the priority of the state government is that development schemes should reach the last person and strong infrastructure should be created in rural areas. Bhuria on Friday inaugurated development works and performed Bhoomi Pujan in various villages of Jhabua district.

Under this, the new Anganwadi building constructed at a cost of Rs 11.22 lakh in village Jhumka was formally inaugurated. Along with this, bhoomi pujan of the proposed new building construction work under Gram Panchayat at a cost of Rs 37.50 lakh and the bhoomi pujan of the proposed culvert cum stop dam construction work in village Lakhpura at a cost of Rs 38 lakh was also done.

Minister Nirmala Bhuria said that building strong infrastructure in rural areas is the key to overall development. Anganwadi centers are the first school for the physical, mental and intellectual development of children. The construction of the new Anganwadi building will provide a safe, clean and comfortable environment to the children, which will improve the nutritional level and make maternal and child health services more effective.

Describing the construction work of culvert cum stop dam in Lakhpura as very useful for the area, Minister Bhuria said that this will conserve rain water, increase the ground water level and farmers will be able to get adequate water for irrigation. Besides, construction of culvert will strengthen the traffic system, which will also give impetus to education, health and business activities.
