Raipur : Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma reached a private hospital in Raipur on Saturday evening, where he met the police personnel injured in the IED blast in Karregutta hill under Usoor police station area of Bijapur district and inquired about their well-being. During this, he took information about the status of treatment of the injured from the doctors and also discussed with the families of the soldiers.

Deputy Chief Minister Sharma took information about the incident from the injured soldiers and boosted their morale by saying that the government and administration stand with them in every situation. He instructed the officers and doctors present in the hospital to ensure all necessary arrangements for better and proper treatment of the soldiers.
He said that our soldiers deployed in anti-Naxal operations are engaged in the security of the country and the state with utmost courage and dedication, and their sacrifice is incomparable.
It may be noted that on January 25, a total of six IED (Improvised Explosive Device) blasts took place one after the other in Karregutta hill under Usoor police station area of Bijapur district. 12 District Reserve Guard (DRG) soldiers were injured due to these explosions. The incident took place when a joint team of security forces was out on an anti-Naxal operation in the Karregutta Hills area bordering Telangana. After the incident, all the injured soldiers were airlifted to Raipur, where they are being treated in a private hospital. Out of these, 6 soldiers have been discharged after recovery, while the condition of the remaining soldiers is also continuously improving.
