Raipur : Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) is a housing scheme launched by the Central Government, which aims to provide pucca houses to rural homeless citizens. Under this scheme, families living in kutcha houses or those without roofs are given financial assistance to build pucca houses, in which all the necessary facilities are available.
Balodabazar- Another success has been added to the list of achievements of Bhatapara district. The district has achieved a major achievement under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). Balodabazar-Bhatapara district stands first in the entire Chhattisgarh state in achieving the targets of the year 2025-26.
Balodabazar- Under the guidance of Collector of Bhatapara District and leadership of CEO District Panchayat, the district has not only shown speed in approval of houses but has also set a record in starting construction work on the ground.
A total of 26843 houses have been approved in the year 2025-26, in which the first installment has been released for 24 thousand 313 houses, construction of 20 thousand 480 houses has started and 15 thousand 120 houses have been completed up to the plinth level.

Maximum plinth construction –

In Balodabazar- Bhatapara district, work up to plinth level of 15 thousand 120 houses has been completed, which is the highest compared to any district of the state. FTO of 26 thousand 439 houses has been done, out of which the first installment has been successfully transferred to the accounts of 24 thousand 313 beneficiaries.
Out of the total sanctioned houses, work has started on 20 thousand 480 houses and 139 houses have been completed, which shows the promptness of the administration and the enthusiasm of the villagers. Under PM Janman Yojana, work has been done on priority basis in the district and houses of 25 eligible beneficiaries have been sanctioned and 100% houses of all have been completed.

Rainwater harvesting structure construction

The district has received the second award in the country in water harvesting in which the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin have made a special contribution. Under the housing scheme, 15 thousand 260 rain water harvesting structures have been constructed in completed houses.
With this achievement, the dream of thousands of families in the district of having their own permanent house is now turning into reality. This is not only giving impetus to rural development but also creating employment opportunities at the local level.
