Special meeting organized to promote nutrition flow technology

Raipur : As per the instructions of Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, a special meeting was organized by Chhattisgarh State Forest Development Corporation for effective use of Nutrition Flow Technology (NFT) and to decide the future strategy. The objective of the meeting was to increase the quality and productivity by adopting modern techniques in plant production, management and forestry operations in nurseries.
In the meeting, experts told that through nutrition flow technology, balanced nutrients can be given to the plants in a controlled manner. This makes it possible to produce more with less water and resources can be used better. With this technology, healthy and quality plants can be produced in a controlled environment. Experts gave detailed information on its technical aspects, benefits, practical uses and potential challenges.
The officials decided that this technology would be implemented in the nurseries of the Forest Development Corporation in a phased manner. For this, a clear action plan and long-term roadmap will be prepared. It was also agreed in the meeting that employees would be trained, their technical capacity would be developed and pilot projects would be started in the first phase.
This initiative of Chhattisgarh State Forest Development Corporation is being considered an important step towards promoting innovation, sustainable development and modern agro-forestry techniques in the forest sector.
