Bhopal. Bhopal MP Alok Sharma has expressed objection regarding Bhopal Metro. After discussing with the public representatives, the MP has said that Bhopal Metro should be run underground from New Market to Bhadbhada. Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari has hit back at the MP’s statement.

‘Now there needs to be an opportunity for underground corruption’

PCC Chief Jitu Patwari has hit back at Bhopal MP Alok Sharma’s talk about running Bhopal Metro underground. Jitu Patwari said, ‘Corruption is happening across the state. Objections have been raised regarding the metro. Till now there has been corruption. Now there needs to be an opportunity to bring corruption underground. They should be told where they will take the corruption money. Corruption is happening everywhere in the BJP government.

‘Action should be taken against guilty officers’

Bhopal MP Alok Sharma, along with expressing his objection regarding Bhopal Metro, has also reacted on the Slaughter House case. He said that the proposal was made by the officers of the urban administration, not the Municipal Corporation. Action should be taken against the guilty officers, so that this mistake is not repeated again.

8 lakhs were spent and earning was 39 thousand rupees

One month has been completed in the commercial run of Bhopal Metro. More is being spent on the Metro than its earnings. Talking about the figures, the operation cost of the metro is around Rs 8 lakh. From December 21 till now, the average earning from ticket sales is about Rs 39 thousand, which is many times less than the expenditure. Talking about ticket sales, on an average 1290 tickets are being sold daily.
