Prayagraj. A major accident was almost averted near KP College in Civil Lines area of Prayagraj city of Uttar Pradesh. A trainee plane fell into a pond near Medical Square. Immediately after the incident, due to the promptness and wisdom of the local people, both the pilots trapped in the plane were rescued safely. The pilots who were ejected were in army uniform. Within some time, many more army helicopters arrived for rescue. Many soldiers landed in the pond through parachute. According to the information received, this trainee plane fell into a pond near KP College. After the loud noise coming from the plane, there was panic in the surrounding areas and a large number of people gathered at the spot. Although the depth of the pond was not much, it had a huge amount of water hyacinth (vegetation growing in water), which made the rescue operation a bit challenging.
