Raipur : In the two-day Buyer-Seller Meet 2026 organized in a private hotel in Nava Raipur, Bihan women groups and their FPOs of the state have received a tremendous response, which has boosted the morale of the women groups. This buyer-seller meet organized by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department was held on 20th and 21st January in a private hotel located in Naya Raipur. During this period, many agreements were reached between the buyers and representatives of women’s groups regarding the quantity, quality and marketing of their products.
Apart from Chhattisgarh, buyers from other states also participated in this meet, who not only appreciated the products of women groups of Bihan, but also finalized a deal for the supply of 2 lakh 13 thousand metric tons for the purchase of 11 types of products. These 11 products mainly include organic rice like Vishnu Bhog, Devbhog, Jawphool, Jeeraphool, various types of spices, gram dal, gram flour, urad dal, kodo-kutki and tikhoor.
State Level Buyer-Seller Meet 2026 During the two-day meet, Bihan groups gave detailed information to the buyers about their respective products, quantity and quality. The buyers also informed the groups about their demands. Many agreements were also reached between the buyer and the seller regarding orders and supplies.
The business dialogue and meeting organized in collaboration with Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission Bihan, AFC India Limited and Pradan Sansthan was not only meaningful but its results were very encouraging. There was a new enthusiasm among women groups and FPOs to increase the quantity of their products.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary of Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Suniharika Barik Singh visited the stalls of women self-help groups and women-led FPOs from all the districts of the state and appreciated the quality, packaging, presentation and innovation of the products. He said that the Didis of the women’s group are not limited to just production, but are moving ahead with confidence, understanding the market demand. While interacting with the buyers, he assured that in the near future, both the quantity and quality of the products of women groups will be further improved, so that the demand of national and international markets can be met.
On this occasion, Bihan’s Mission Director Ashwini Dewangan said that Buyer Seller Meet 2026 is a historic occasion in which women FPOs and SHGs have got real and sustainable market opportunities through direct communication with buyers. This event will prove to be a milestone in the direction of women empowerment, self-reliance and livelihood promotion in Chhattisgarh.
