Raipur : 1) The Council of Ministers approved the proposal for Chhattisgarh Excise Policy for the financial year 2026-27 and authorized the department for all the related actions related to it.

2) To establish a high quality educational institution in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, the Council of Ministers has given approval to Shri Vile Parle Kalavani Mandal (SVKM) to allot approximately 40 acres of land identified in Sector-18 as a lump sum lease for 90 years for the establishment of Narsi Monji Institute of Management Studies.

SVKM is a renowned organization, working in the field of education since 1934 and currently running 30 educational institutions, which provides education to more than one lakh students every year from pre-primary to doctoral programs. This institution has got 52nd rank in NIRF University Ranking in the year 2025. The establishment of this national level institute in Nava Raipur will further strengthen modern and quality education in the state.

3) The Council of Ministers has decided to enter into MoU with Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) for the establishment of 04 new entrepreneurship centers in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. This MoU will be important in encouraging the IT/ITES industry and technical start-up eco system in the state.

Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) operates 68 centres, of which 60 are located in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities of India. Software Technology Parks of India, in collaboration with the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of Chhattisgarh, will promote 133 domain specific start-ups in the next three to five years through AI, MedTech (Herbal Medicine and Forest Products based), Smart City and Smart Agri entrepreneurship centres. The State Government will set up an Electronics System Design and Development (ESDD) center through STPI to support students, entrepreneurs, researchers and industries in developing prototypes of ESDM products, which will provide all support to 30 to 40 hardware, startups and MSMEs per year.

4) Necessary decisions have been taken by the Council of Ministers to ensure the availability of quality testing facilities in all the government health institutions of the state of Chhattisgarh, to strengthen the existing resources and to increase the number of tests as per the prescribed standards, for the effective operation of labs in the district hospitals, community health centers and primary health centers of the state.
