Raipur : Giving a new urban identity to Balodabazar city, Balodabazar Chowpatty, developed on the lines of Marine Drive of the capital Raipur, was formally inaugurated today. Chowpatty was inaugurated by Chhattisgarh Government’s Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma and Technical Education Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb by offering prayers and cutting the ribbon. With the inauguration, Chowpatty was opened for common citizens.
Attractive Chowpatty complex developed on the banks of Swami Vivekananda Sarovar
Municipal Council Balodabazar has developed a beautiful and attractive Chowpatty on the banks of Swami Vivekananda Sarovar, the heart of the city. Along with this, beautification and other development works of the lake have also been completed.
Achievement for Chowpatty city – Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma
Addressing the program, Revenue Minister Tankram Verma said that this Chowpatty developed with positive thinking is a big achievement for Balodabazar city. Here the city residents will be able to enjoy delicious dishes along with entertainment. He appealed to pay special attention to cleanliness to maintain the beauty of Chowpatty. He said that Balodabazar is moving on the path of rapid development and the government will leave no stone unturned in the development works. On this occasion, Minister Verma mesmerized the gathering by singing famous Chhattisgarhi songs in his familiar style.
Everyone’s participation is necessary in the resolution of developed Chhattisgarh – Technical Education Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb
Technical Education Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb said that on the lines of Raipur, this Chowpatty, which provides entertainment and various cuisines at one place, will become a center of special attraction for the city residents. He said that under the resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a developed India by 2047 and the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, everyone’s cooperation is necessary to make Chhattisgarh a developed state.
Incorporation of modern facilities in Chowpatty
A modern food zone has been developed in Chowpatty, which includes more than a dozen food stalls and restaurants. Apart from this, children’s play area, swings and other entertainment facilities have been provided for the children. For security and well-being, facilities like parking system, floating fountain, selfie point, floating jetty, concrete road and lawn have also been developed.
City residents got a new entertainment center
With the opening of Chowpatty, the city residents have got a new center of entertainment. While youth and children will be able to enjoy entertainment, senior citizens will be able to walk on the pathways built around the lake.
Public representatives and distinguished citizens were present in the program.
On this occasion, Municipality President Ashok Jain, District President Mrs. Sulochana Yadav, former MLA Dr. Sanam Jangade, Pramod Sharma, Lakshmi Baghel, District President Anand Yadav, Bharat Scout Guide State Vice President Vijay Kesharwani, Municipality Vice President Jitendra Mahale, councilors and a large number of city residents were present.
