Muzaffarpur. The negligence and disobedience of the court order proved costly for the Muzaffarpur city police station in Bihar and a major disciplinary action has been taken against him by the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP). It is reported that Muzaffarpur city police station incharge has been removed from his post and put on the line with immediate effect. He has been seriously accused of gross laxity in work, arbitrariness and violation of court orders along with those of senior officials. The reason for this entire action is an old case related to land dispute, which was pending in the High Court. According to the information, in this case the court had issued some specific instructions, which were to be complied with by the city police station within the time limit. But these orders were ignored by the police station chief. Expressing strong objection to this, Patna High Court expressed its clear displeasure. The police headquarters took this harsh comment of the court seriously and ordered an internal investigation into the matter. Considering the sensitivity of the matter, Additional Superintendent of Police (City-01), Muzaffarpur conducted a detailed investigation. In the investigation report, the conduct of the police station chief was considered a sign of indiscipline and arbitrariness. Based on the report, after the approval of Tirhut area Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Chandan Kushwaha, SSP Kantes Kumar Mishra issued a letter to the police station incharge to call him back (line present) to the police center, Muzaffarpur with immediate effect. This action has created a stir in the police department.
