During this, PM Modi also met children and loco pilots in the train and talked to them. After this, PM Modi also flagged off four Amrit Bharat trains in Malda. PM Modi addressed a public meeting in Malda and said that our trains are being modernized.

Recently, the foundation stone of many projects related to the development of West Bengal has been laid and inaugurated. West Bengal has got new rail services. These projects will make travel easier for the people here and business will also become easier. The new facilities related to track maintenance that have been created here will create new opportunities for the youth here. Today, another big step has been taken towards the modernization of Indian Railways from this holy land of Bengal.
PM Modi said, ‘Vande Bharat sleeper trains are being started in India from today. These Vande Bharat sleeper trains will make the long journeys of the countrymen more comfortable, luxurious and memorable. People at Malda station were saying that they felt amazing while sitting in this train. Sometimes we used to look at the pictures of trains from foreign countries and say that we wish such trains were there in India, today we are seeing the same dream turning into reality. I see that foreign people are making pictures of Indian metros and trains and telling the world how there has been a revolution in Indian railways. This first Vande Bharat sleeper train of the country is connecting the land of Mother Kali with the land of Mother Kamakhya. In the coming time, this modern train will expand across the country. I congratulate Bengal, Assam and the entire country for this modern sleeper train. Today, Indian Railways is becoming modern as well as self-reliant. This Vande Bharat train is made in India, the sweat of Indians has gone into making it.
PM Modi said, ‘India’s railway engines, India’s railway coaches, India’s metro coaches, all these are becoming the identity of India’s technology. Today we are making more locomotives than America and Europe. Passenger trains and metro train coaches are exported to many countries of the world. Due to all this, our economy benefits a lot and our youth get a lot of employment.
