Raipur : Sahil Sahu, a progressive farmer of village Parkhanda of Dhamtari district, has proved that if farming is done with proper planning, modern technology and with the help of government systems, it can become a powerful means of profit. In this Kharif season, Sahil Sahu successfully procured a total of 231 quintals of paddy by selling the paddy produced in his 11 acre farm at Garadih procurement center at support price.
Sahil Sahu, who has been selling paddy at support price for many years, says that this year’s paddy procurement system was more organized, transparent and farmer-friendly than before. Due to timely weighing, organized line system, presence of supporting staff and prompt process in the procurement center, farmers did not face any kind of inconvenience.
