Ram Narayan’s electricity bill became zero due to PM Surya Ghar free electricity scheme, got benefit of subsidy

Raipur : The government’s ambitious PM Surya Ghar free electricity scheme is bringing positive changes in the lives of common citizens. This scheme is not only providing relief from rising electricity bills but also connecting people with clean, affordable and green energy. By taking advantage of the scheme, common consumers are now becoming self-reliant and are participating in energy production along with electricity consumption.

A living example of the success of this scheme is Ram Narayan Gupta, a resident of Bhitthi Kala of Ambikapur Nagar. He installed a 5 kilowatt capacity solar rooftop panel on the roof of his house and within just a month his electricity bill became completely zero. Whereas earlier they had to pay huge bills every month due to excessive electricity consumption, now they have got relief from the use of solar energy.

Ram Narayan Gupta told that after getting information about PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, he immediately decided to take advantage of it. Under the scheme, a total subsidy of up to Rs 1 lakh 8 thousand is being provided by the Central and State Government, due to which installation of solar rooftop panels has become easy and economical for the common citizens. Getting the subsidy significantly reduced the initial cost and made their decision even easier.

He told that only one month has passed since the solar panels were installed and during this period the electricity bill has come completely to zero. Not only this, this scheme is making them not only electricity consumers but also energy providers. He said that under the scheme, an agreement is made with the electricity department, according to which the electricity produced from solar energy is first used for the needs of the house. After this, the excess electricity left is sent to the electricity department through the grid, which is paid to the consumer at the end of the financial year.

Ram Narayan said that this scheme is also an important initiative towards environmental protection. Use of solar energy is promoting green energy and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. Also, the subsidy given by the government is encouraging common citizens to join this scheme.

Describing the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme as a public benefit, he expressed his gratitude to the Central and State Governments and also appealed to other citizens to not only reduce their electricity bills by taking advantage of this scheme, but also contribute to environmental protection by adopting clean and sustainable energy.
