Jamshedpur. An extremely heart-wrenching incident has come to light from East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, where three youth died untimely after colliding with an uncontrolled highway parked on the roadside. This tragic accident happened near Union Bank at 7.15 pm last evening in Surda of Musabani police station area. In this accident, two brothers and one of their nephews died on the spot, while another youth is seriously injured and is undergoing treatment at MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur.
According to the information, Rahul Karmakar, a resident of Jagannathpur in Ghatshila police station area, along with his two real brothers, Rohit Karmakar and Sameer Karmakar, and his nephew Raj Gop, had gone to his in-laws’ house during the day on the same scooty. During his return journey at night, when he reached near Surda Union Bank, his scooter rammed into the rear of a poorly parked Hiva on the roadside. The collision was so severe that 21-year-old Rohit Karmakar, 18-year-old Sameer Karmakar and 17-year-old Raj Gop died on the spot. 26 year old Rahul Karmakar was seriously injured in this accident. With the help of local people, he was immediately taken to Ghatshila Sub-Divisional Hospital, where after first aid, seeing his critical condition, the doctors referred him to Jamshedpur for better treatment.
As soon as information about the accident was received, Ghatshila and Musabani police forces reached the spot and the hospital. After this incident, a huge crowd of villagers from Jagannathpur and surrounding areas gathered in the hospital premises. It is being told that both the deceased Rohit and the injured Rahul were married and used to support their families by doing putty work in Ghatshila area. Due to the death of three members of the same family, a wave of mourning has spread in the entire area and the family members are crying and in bad condition. Meanwhile, 70-year-old Dev Guru Narayan Dev was seriously injured in another road accident in Maubhandar OP area of Ghatsila. Dev Guru Narayan, a former employee of Surda Mines, became the victim of an accident while descending from the Swarnarekha bridge on Friday afternoon. He suffered serious injuries to his head and ears. Locals rushed him to ICC Workers Hospital, from where he was referred to TMH for advanced treatment. Police are investigating both the cases in depth to find out the exact causes of the accidents.
