Raipur : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, many schemes are being run for the welfare of workers and their families. Today, under these schemes, more than Rs. 2.5 crore rupees were distributed to more than 6000 labor families by the Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh in a program organized at his residence office – Scholarship Scheme, Cycle Assistance Scheme, Sports Promotion Scheme.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that the work of implementing welfare schemes for Labor Welfare Board and unorganized sector workers started during his Chief Ministership and progressed well, till now lakhs of workers of the state have benefited from these schemes. Praising the scheme of providing food at affordable rates run by the Board, he said that the Welfare Board has done revolutionary work in the labor sector by planning from birth to death.
At the beginning of the program, Board President Yogesh Dutt Mishra, while mentioning the 14 welfare schemes being run by Chhattisgarh Labor Welfare Board across the state for the interests of labor welfare, said that Labor Welfare Board is standing shoulder to shoulder to help the laborers in every situation and to provide them social security. He said that an amount of more than Rs 2.5 crore has been provided to thousands of laborers working in the organized sector of the state under the Scholarship Scheme, Cycle Assistance Scheme and Sports Promotion Scheme. Divisional Welfare Commissioner Ajitesh Pandey, former president Mohan Anti, Ramkrishna Dhiwar, Ravi Shankar Singh, Radheshyam Gupta, Kamal Boss and laborers from various industries were present in the program.
