Umaria: The death of another tiger within 48 hours in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve has given sleepless nights to the forest department. After the death of a female tiger on Wednesday, now a case of suspicious death of an adult tiger has come to light. This time Tiger’s body was found in a well in the forest area. It is not clear at the moment whether there was a conflict with the tiger or whether it was a victim of an accident. The death of the adult tiger has raised many questions, and now forest department teams are closely investigating the incident.

How did the tiger fall into the well in the field?

While on Wednesday, the female cub was found dead in Beat Kathli RF 331 of Tala forest range of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, now this sad news has come from Kudri Tola of Raipur village under Dhamokhar range. There was a stir in the area on Thursday afternoon when the dead body of a tiger was seen descending into a well in the field. The question in everyone’s mind is that how did the tiger fall into the well in the field?

Found out after strong odor

It is being told that this well is located about one and a half to 2 kilometers away from the village. When a very strong foul smell started coming from near the well, the villagers went inside the well and looked. Seeing the tiger dead in the well, the villagers got scared and immediately informed the forest department team.

Died several days ago?

As soon as the news of the death of the tiger was received, the team of Bandhavgarh and the forest department management team immediately reached the spot, the villagers present there told the forest department that a very foul smell was coming from the well, after which they came to know about the tiger. The forest department expert said that looking at the foul smell coming from the tiger’s dead body, it seemed as if it had died several days ago.

Postmortem will reveal the real cause of death

Regarding this entire incident, Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve Director Anupam Sahay said, “Prima facie it seems that the tiger died due to falling in the well.” However, the final conclusion as to how the tiger died can be drawn only after the postmortem report. At present the Forest Department is taking necessary action and investigating the matter.
