Bhopal. Five-day working system is applicable for officers and employees of Madhya Pradesh. One has to work five days a week and have two days off or holiday. State Chief CM Dr. Mohan Yadav has adopted a strict stance on this system. He has clearly said that if you want five-day working, you will have to come to office on time.
‘work in office’ Time will have to be increased’
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held an important meeting with senior officials of the state on Wednesday (January 7). Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, DGP Kailash Makwana and many senior officers were present in the meeting. Regarding five-day working in this meeting, he said that since the Covid period, the system of 5-day week is in force in the government offices of the state. To successfully implement this concept, it is necessary to increase the office hours and follow it by everyone.
‘Work in the office starts at 10 o’clock’
Giving advice, the CM said that it should be ensured that work in the government offices of the state starts from 10 am. Regarding promoting technology in government offices, he said that for this other technical systems including biometrics should be taken. This will improve work performance along with discipline.
Five-day working started during Covid-19
While giving relief to about 7 lakh officers and employees of MP during Covid-19, the then government had implemented five-day working in government offices. Employees and officers have to work five days a week and get two days off. The state government has continued this till now. CM Mohan Yadav has now given strict instructions to ensure that there is no hindrance in government work due to this system. Government employees and officers have been asked to come on time.
